On Tuesday, November 17th, several students at Pleasanton High School were inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS). From the founding chapter of the National Honor Society, four main goals of NHS members included: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools." These purposes also translate into the criteria used for membership selection in each local chapter. At PHS, these criteria were met by no less than nine new inductees into the PHS chapter of the National Honor Society.
