Taking some inspiration from Carleen Da Cruz Payne and Mary Browning Schulman's book, Getting the Most out of Morning Mess and Other Shared Writing, the speech kids leave "message" on their white boards for the students who have speech later in the day.  At first, the students would leave pictures.  Now some young students leave phrases such as "My House" with a picture of a house. Others can write whole sentences such as "I like Santa Clause." with almost perfect spelling.  Still others leave riddles such as "I am fat.  I deliver presents."  Who am I?.  This is another way to foster carryover.
