The HS volleyball girls were in action tonight at home. The JV played St. Paul and lost in two sets 6-25, 16-25. The varsity girls were on the short end of all three matches tonight with scores of 15-25, 12-25 vs St. Paul; 21-25, 15-25 vs SCC; and 12-25, 25-17, 20-25 vs Crest.

Good morning! This Friday night at our home football game we would like to recognize and honor our first responders. Friday nights admission will be free to you and your family and we will then recognize all first responders during half time. Hope to see you there!

The JV football Blu-jays played host to Christ Prep tonight on a warm evening. The Blu-Jays were outsized but played with a lot of determination. Unfortunately, when the final horn sounded, Christ Prep came out on top.

In varsity football action, the Blu-Jays put forth a valiant effort, but fell to a good Christ Prep team by the score of 42-6.

The 7th grade boys cross country team traveled to Anderson County on Thursday, Sept. 2. In the 3200 M course R. Carpenter finished 22nd with a time of 17:12, G. Lawson finished 23rd in a time of 17:20, and B. Meik finished 28th with a time of 18:37.

The Pleasanton JH football team saw action tonight taking on Crest. It was a hard-fought battle on both sides. The boys were down 26-20 at the half, but that didn't deter them. In a game that came down to the wire, Pleasanton managed to win in a squeaker 48-46!

The JH volleyball team took to the court again tonight playing Crest. The effort was there, but the ball didn't fall Pleasanton's way. The girls lost both matches by scores of 25-15 and 25-8.

In 8th grade cross country action at Anderson County on Sept. 2, G. McGinnis finished with a 5th place medal in a time of 14:01.
On the high school girls JV side, running a 5,000 M course, R. Chapman finished in 17th place with a time of 32:10.

7th grade girls cross country results at Anderson County:
3200 M:
M. Thomas - 17:11 - 11th place
J. Lusher - 17:13 - 12th place
R. Crowder - 17:46 - 15th place
M. Neil-Cox - 18:30 - 18th place

The high school varsity volleyball team traveled to Bronaugh, MO this evening and came away with a victory in four sets. Pleasanton took the first set 25-12, but dropped the next one 23-25. The final two sets both went in favor of the Blu-jays by scores of 25-10 and 25-12.

In TRL volleyball today, Pleasanton dropped the first match to Southeast 19/25 and 18/25. In their second match, the girls got an early lead over Chetopa and pulled out the win by scores of 25/15 and 25/5. The third match of the day pitted Pleasanton against Marmaton Valley. The girls played hard but lost by scores of 12/25 and 9/25. In the final match of the day, Pleasanton lost to St. Paul 9/25 and 8/25. The girls finished fourth in pool play.

Auditions for this year's musical will be Wednesday from 4-7 and Thursday from 4-9 in the music room. Students will not be required to stay for the full audition times on either day.
