Good morning. Today, at approximately 12:30, the moon will begin its movement between the sun and the earth casting a shadow over Pleasanton creating what is known as a solar eclipse. Here in Pleasanton, we will experience 90% totality. USD 344 has prepared for this event by purchasing Medical King Solar Eclipse glasses for each of our students. These glasses are AAS approved and CE and ISO certified for direct sun viewing. If you do not want your child to have these glasses to view the eclipse, please contact our office before noon to let us know at 913-352-8534. This will allow us to make arrangements for your child during the eclipse. Thank you.
